Russia’s rough diamond production -6% Russia’s diamond production fell 6% to 34,759 million carats in 2009, according to data published on the Finance Ministry website. By value, production dropped 6,7% to US$2,34 billion as the average price of the rough declined by 0,9% to US$67,34 per carat.
